Deal Golf Club

Deal CC
9.0/10 rating

I was deeply blessed to have gone to Deal County Club in Deal NJ the other day participating in a golf match. I played the front 9 and toured the club house a little bit. Unfortunately I didn’t win the match but came 6/18 which is decent.
I have played many courses and clubs in the Monmouth County area, and this one hits me as the best that I have played by far.

The course in April was in pristine condition. Even the tee boxes on the par 3’s where you expect to be a bit tore up by divots somehow was smooth as a carpet.
The course was founded in 1898. The course property is 130 acres, Deal is known for its fairways, bunkers, and highly contoured greens designed by Donald Ross. Something about the clubhouse has like a masters kind of feel. Not sure if it is the old white and green look of the White House or the pristine whiteness of the bunkers.

Deal CC totally blew me away. The course was in amazing shape, the clubhouse had this classic, almost Augusta-like vibe, and the whole place just felt special. Out of all the courses I’ve played around Monmouth County, this one’s hands down my favorite so far. Definitely a spot I’d go back to in a heartbeat.
